Want a peek inside my (very pink and very girly) home office? I hope so, because today I’m giving you more than a peek — it’s a full-on tour! It’s taken me about 2 years to get it finished, and I’m finally ready to share it with you. (Complete with links to my furniture, accessories, and more!)
We embarked on an empty nest remodel and home refresh back in March of 2020. It was near the beginning of the pandemic, so we were on the front end of the huge wave of remodeling that swept the country that year. Our biggest project was the master bath remodel, which necessitated us moving upstairs for 2 full months! Beyond that big project, we transformed our old formal dining room into my office, repainted the entire house, made adjustments to Bob’s office to make it more conducive to working at home, and we bought some new furniture!
My Vision for my Home Office
Honestly, it’s not too complicated! I wanted something luxurious, girly, and overflowing with pink. I wanted the beauty of my home office to inspire me every time I walked into it. I wanted it to be a showstopper of a room, that caused people to say, “Wow!” when they walked into our house. I am thrilled to tell you that all of those goals have been successfully accomplished, and my home office is a room that delights me every single day!
My Home Office: The Big Picture
As you check out my furniture and accessories, please know that I worked with an interior designer, so the prices you see are not necessarily the prices I paid. In this post, I’m sharing still photos! I linked to the same item, with retail pricing), when possible. If the item was not available, I did my best to find a similar alternative.
The “Instagram” Chair
I call this the “Instagram Chair,” because every morning I sit in it and put up my Instagram & Facebook posts, interact with followers, and create content for my Stories! I love everything about my office, but I’ve left the walls mostly unadorned to create a clean space. When it came to my floor lamp, I was looking for a standout, piece of art. John-Richard makes the most beautiful lamps, and this antique brass lamp spoke to me. It features an organically twisting branch with quartz crystal flowers that sits on a marble and brass base. It is a piece of art that will work in any room of our home. It’s that special.
The Clothes Rack
Rolling Clothing Rack | Gold Hangars | Floral Gillian Dress | Pink Merissa Dress | Elbow Sleeve Harriet Knit Dress | UPF 50+ Luxletic Frida Ruffle Polo | Pink Gingham Sweatshirt | Gold Emilia Knot Slide Sandal | Two Strap 2.25″ Nude Heeled Sandal | Avery Western-Inspired Booties
I wanted a rolling clothing rack as beautiful as the rest of my office! Etsy to the rescue! I customized mine with gold powder-coated iron pipes, but silver and black are also available. The wheels are rubber so that they won’t scratch my floors. The base is white wood and all of it is scratch and chip resistant.
The Selfie Mirror
I knew I needed a big, beautiful mirror for my home office! Once again, the style was just as important as functionality to me, so I held out until I found a really special mirror! It’s antiqued and beveled on the sides, and it measures a massive 79″T X 44″W x 4″D! It’s on sale right now if you’re looking for one. When we remodeled, I asked the contractor to add some lights on the sides. Unfortunately, he didn’t really understand lighting, so the lights he added cast a very yellowy glow. I rarely use them, opting instead for the natural light from the French doors and THIS ring light. (If anyone in Dallas knows a good lighting designer, please leave me a comment!)
Jenna Mirrored Desk | Pink Desk Chair (Custom) Similar HERE | Bow Table Lamp | Rose Quartz Crystal | Pink Tea Mug with Infuser & Lid |Monogrammed Acrylic Coasters (customize color & font) | Business Cards with Acrylic Holder | Personalized To-Do List | Pink Stylus | Laptop | Round Mousepad | Pink Wireless Mouse | Pink Phone Stand
When I picked out my desk, I knew I wanted (1) a writing desk style and (2) a desk with drawers. I find when I work, a clean environment helps me think straight, so I really do use my drawers! (Are you like that?) The size of the room and the space I was working with had a lot to do with my selection too. I love the mirrored finish.
My pink desk chair is THIS one from Hancock & Moore. My interior designer found it and we customized it! (I think they only sell to the trade.) They make great executive chairs that are really comfortable! Bob has THIS one in his office in navy blue leather.
The gorgeous pink peony painting that sits on the wall behind my desk was a gift from my sweet artist friend Joanne. She and her husband used to sit next to our family at church when our kids were growing up and they were like another set of grandparents to my kids! The painting was inspired by a dress I wore one Easter Sunday! (Pink peonies are my favorite flowers.)
I wanted glass shelves for a light, airy look and a geometric shape that would add interest.
I didn’t really need this Pink Frigidaire Mini Fridge, but I couldn’t resist it! (Especially considering the price!) I bought it after buying one for my daughter-in-law, who asked for one in blue to keep in her 2nd-grade classroom. (It comes in 4 colors.) The Pink Wooden Tray is just something I saw on Amazon and wanted, and the beautiful Waterford Crystal Standing Cross was a gift. It means the world to me because my faith is the foundation of my entire life. The set of 3 Faux Kalanchoes was a bargain! I’ve got them spread throughout the house in various planters, and they look totally real!

I think these Ginger Jars from Lo Home are gorgeous, and the Leopard Print adds a touch of whimsy! Designer Lauren Haskell carries ginger jars in various designs, and I think they’re well-priced and lovely! I really love Lo Home! They produce ceramic products, hardware, soft goods, lamps, and furniture in-house, and source wallpaper & fabric, upholstered furniture, rugs, and select accents from manufacturers with socially and environmentally conscious practices. (Impressive, right?) See other Lo Home Ginger Jars HERE and check out the seasonal products HERE. When you buy coffee table books, I think it’s important to consider not only the color, but also the topic! All of the books on my etagere have to do with either design or fashion. The pink ceramic “He will take care of you” plate was a gift many years ago. I found one on Poshmark HERE.
