Every Saturday morning in the fall, our family group text starts this way: “Get up, it’s game day!” If you’ve been hanging around here for a while, you know we’re huge college football fans in our family. College football season is right around the corner, and we’ve been counting down the days!

Since we became empty nesters, going to games has been one of our favorite dates! It’s also become a great way to connect with old and new friends. Staying involved with our alma mater has meant so much to us in this season of life. I think being an alum is such a fun way for empty nesters to stay connected, involved, and part of a community they love, and it’s a big part of empty nester life for so many parents I talk to about this chapter of life.
