Skin Care Over 50 | The Derm Doctors Are In & Ready For Your Questions

Let’s talk about skin care over 50! I get questions from you guys all the time about aging skin and what to do about everything from wrinkles and under-eye circles to sagging neck skin and cellulite! I hear ya! You want to know about the best skin care products, cosmetic treatments, and what you can do to look your best. I get it! There are so many products, with so many ingredients, and so many procedures! It can be confusing and hard to know the best options for your individual issues, as well as where you should invest to get the most out of your skin care budget.

I’m thrilled to announce that I’m partnering with the Dermatologists at Dallas Center for Dermatology and Aesthetics this year to get answers to all of your questions! You’ll be seeing blog posts, Instagram & Facebook posts, Instastories, Facebook Lives, along with YouTube and IGTV videos. I’ll be educating you about the treatment options for various beauty and skin issues by talking with the DCDA doctors, sharing products and special discounts from their online store, and even undergoing some cosmetic treatments ???? myself!

In December, I took to my Instastory to ask people what they would want to (anonymously) ask a dermatologist if they had the chance. I got some great answers, and I recorded them all. Don’t worry; I will ask every single one! Today, I’m giving you all a chance to weigh in and ask your questions! Next week, I’ll be having my initial visit with Dr. Stetler. First up, I want to talk to her about skin care products, and I want her to put me on a skin care regimen! I’ve always used a combination of “drugstore” products, higher-end/designer brands, and medical-grade skin care products. I’m super curious about the differences between each of those (Read that: Are the medical-grade products really worth the money? ????), so we’ll definitely be discussing that during my appointment. In fact, watch out for an Instagram Live with Dr. Stetler on that very subject in the next couple of weeks!

I’m a big believer in the relationship between looking good and feeling good. That’s why I get up, get dressed (even if it’s just in coordinating loungewear!), and put on makeup pretty much every day. So when I saw this lightweight $15 “feelin’ good” sweater, I just had to have it! I believe in the power of optimism, and I consciously choose gratitude and joy every day. When it comes to skin care over 50, I really do believe that beauty starts from within.
