2024 Spring & Summer Accessories — Styles to Know & Love

We all know that accessories are one of the easiest and most affordable ways to update an outfit! This year, the statement accessory story is all about metallics, florals, and texture! Today, I’m running down the 2024 Spring & Summer Accessories you need to know!

Key Accessory Trends

• Metallics – If you read my 2024 Spring & Summer Shoe Styles post, you’re well aware that metallics—especially silver tones—are back. If you’re a gold lover 🙋‍♀️, don’t worry! It’s not going away anytime soon. But, the newest look is silver. You’ll definitely find silver handbags, but the easiest place to work in silver is your jewelry.
• 3D Elements – including flowers, bows, and more.
• Floral Motif – Look for floral earrings,
• Bows – All things girly are going strong, and the bow is back for all ages (although not necessarily in your hair)!

Handbags

1. Totes/Bucket Bags

If you prefer a bigger bag, this is a good season for you! Totes are trending this year. Look for crochet raffia totes, woven totes, puffer totes, floral embellished totes, or another unique texture. Another thing to note about totes 😂—you’ll see a wide range of sizes, from giant oversized totes to small totes and even mini totes. One of my favorites (for the money) is this small boxy crossbody tote for just $25 from Target!

2. Rattan/Woven Bags

I feel like these come back in every summer, so if you’ve already got one, feel free to pull it out and pretend it’s brand new! (I won’t tell a soul! 😄) If you don’t have one you might want to invest this year. Whether you need a tote for travel, a clutch for an outdoor wedding, or a crossbody to take on vacay, you’ll find them out there this year!

3. Rectangular Bags

From shoulder bags to clutches, the ladylike rectangle bag is having it’s moment.

Jewelry

The story is silver and sculptural! It doesn’t mean you can’t wear your gold jewelry this year, but if you want to, you might consider mixing your metals!

1. Chunky Silver Earrings

If there’s one piece of jewelry I recommend investing in this year, it’s a pair of chunky silver earrings.

2. Floral Earrings

If you’re not ready to embrace the silver earring trend, another quick update this season would be a pair of floral earrings! From colored flowers to raffia, you’ll see these everywhere! You can even incorporate both the floral and metallic trends with silver wire floral earrings, like THESE affordable ones!

3. Layered Necklaces

Look for layered necklaces in gold or silver. They’re great for dressing up a plain tee!

Bracelets

The bracelet stack isn’t going away anytime soon, so keep yours going! Comfortable stretch bracelets are easy to wear and easy to get off and on! Still, the cuff is the trendy bracelet right now. For the newest look, choose one that’s sculptural or textured.

Sunglasses

Oversized sunglasses are still on trend, so if you have a pair you love, go with those! The trending look, however? The cat eye (or the oversized cat eye)!
