Cute and Comfortable Shoes | 5-Star Brands and Styles to Try
Comfortable shoes are a must-have in every wardrobe, especially if you’re always on the go like I am! For running errands, travel, and other long days, I want to feel confident that my choice of shoe won’t slow me down or leave me limping home! We’ve all been there…the blisters, the rubbing, and the poor support. 😣
It’s so important to find the right fit, but it can be overwhelming with all of the choices out there. That’s why we decided to read the reviews for you and round up the cutest comfortable shoes that have the best 5-star ratings. Today, I’m sharing the comfortable shoes I would buy based on these good reviews, combined with a few of my own tried and true favorites!
Lets’ be honest! You never really know if a shoe will work for you until you try it on! I’m a former ballerina 🩰 with a few foot issues, so I know the importance of taking shoes for a test drive. 😄 That’s why all the styles below offer free shipping and easy returns. We grouped the shoes into four sections including slip-ons, sandals, sneakers, and wedges, to make whatever you’re looking for easy to find!
As always, click the pink text or any image you see (included the collage above) for more information. Keep in mind that many of the styles come in multiple color and pattern options, so if a style appeals to you, click through to check it out.
Cute and Comfortable Shoes: Slip-Ons
Who has time for laces?! There is something about the sleek and simple look of slip-ons that I just love. They just seem like a more sophisticated and clean take on the classic sneaker! Dr. Scholl’s has created some really cute new slip-on styles, and they have some of the best insole technology. Their sole inserts specifically target everything from Plantar Fasciitis, to knee pain, to even back pain. If they make comfortable inserts, you know they make comfortable shoes! I also love these adorable pink slip-ons, with the sheer mesh stripes that add a fun detail!
Cute and Comfortable Shoes: Sandals
Have you ever had extra cushy yoga mats attached to the bottoms of your feet!? That is what walking in these Yoga Joy flip flops feels like! Flip flops with a comfortable base are hard to find, but these thong sandals have a footbed made from real yoga mats, making them so cushiony and soft to walk on. Sanuk also makes a trendy slingback style. Sporty velcro sandals by brands like Teva and Chaco are also very trendy right now, and that’s good news since they’re also super comfortable, and won’t slip off your feet! Loeffler Randall’s cute designs are speeding out of stock fast! Birkenstocks have also made a comeback, but with softer styles and pretty colors like shimmery gold.
Cute and Comfortable Shoes: Sneakers
Sole Bliss is another one of my favorite brands for fashionable, yet functional, footwear. (Famous fans include the Royal Family, Helen Mirren, Viola Davis, and Rebel Wilson!) Their technological innovations deliver luxurious comfort, cushioned soles, wider widths, and deeper toe boxes to accommodate wide feet and foot issues like bunions, plantar fasciitis, and arthritic joints. For a limited time, Empty Nest Blessed readers can take 15% off your entire Sole Bliss purchase with code ENB15.
If you follow my travel adventures, you know I always pack my Allbirds sneakers! Along with being incredibly comfortable, they’re very light, packable, and machine washable! Besides their everyday classic sneakers (called Tree Runners), they also make different styles like ballet flats and slip-ons.
For running shoes, a crowd favorite is Asics, especially the GEL-Cumulus® Collection. For fashionable sneakers, Naturalizer is a great brand that offers cute styles without compromising good support. Their Macayla sneakers use a fancy patented contoured footbed to maximize arch support and comfort…plus, they’re adorable! And don’t forget our friends at Easy Spirit!
Cute and Comfortable Shoes: Wedges and Heels
Easy Spirit X Martha Stewart Zuri Wedge Sandals (58% off this weekend.) | Walmart’s Free Assembly Women’s Short Sleeve Split Neck Midi Dress | Red Kendra Scott Drop Earrings
Let’s be honest, it’s not as easy to last the whole night in heels as it once was! I love finding shoes with just the right bit of height to make me feel fancy-schmancy for a night out, without sacrificing stability and control. Easy Spirit is my choice for the most comfortable wedges for all-day wear. With a responsive footbed that combats fatigue through energy return technology, they’re an all-around win at an affordable price. (BTW, I also love their Garden Clogs too!)
Easy Spirit X Martha Stewart TGarden Slip Resistant Clogs
Don’t forget about classic brands known for comfort, like Clarks! They’ve been around since 1825 😮, yet they’re still keeping up with the times! Case in point, check out these cute wedges that are perfect for summer. These pretty gold metallic wedges have three layers of a foam footbed for ultimate comfort!
I’m so happy to see well-known brands who value comfort also doing a great job keeping with the changing fashion trends! In today’s fast paced world where we are always on our feet, I think comfortable shoes are one of the best investments you can make. They play a key role in keeping our whole body healthy and active, dontcha think?

Hi Suzy! So many cute shoes! I spied a few I’m definitely going to look into! It’s nice to see you don’t have to give up style for comfort. Great round-up!
Gwen,
Thank you! Our standards were high, and I”m so glad you liked the post! So sweet of you to let me know!
xoxo
Suzy
Thank you for the reviews and very cute choices! I agree with your Sanuk slingback choice. I have never been able to wear shoes with a between the toe strap, because they hurt, but recently I bought the Sanuk Yoga 3 slingback and I have found them to be very comfortable and can wear them without hurting. They even have some arch support! I’ll have to check into the Kelly & Katie sheer mesh slip-ons, they are adorable.
