Splurge or Save? | Designer Knockoffs That Will Fool Everyone!
After a crazy (but oh, so wonderful!) month of travel, I’m back with a short, light post for you! With back-to-school ads and content everywhere right now, I must admit, as an empty nester, I get somewhat giddy that I don’t have to deal with that anymore! Do you feel that way too? Oh, don’t get me wrong…our adult kids are still a big part of our lives, and vice versa, but it’s so nice not to have the whole back-to-school stress in my life! In honor of that, I thought a fun, frothy little post was just what we needed.
Most of you are probably aware that it’s illegal to make and sell counterfeit items. I’m not in any way promoting the purchase of counterfeit goods! That takes money right out of the hands of legitimate businesses. I love designer handbags, and I own several (mostly pre-owned). In fact, I wrote an entire blog post about how (and where) to score a designer bag for less. (You can read that HERE.) So what’s the difference between a counterfeit and a knockoff?
Counterfeits vs. Designer Knockoffs
Counterfeit items actually have copies of a brand or designer logo or symbol. Counterfeiters purposefully make them nearly identical to the original product. Knockoffs, on the other hand, merely resemble the original item closely. They don’t have the exact design or the manufacturer’s distinctive marks. It’s not illegal to make or sell knockoffs.
Splurge or Save
My talented assistant, Heidi, and I have pulled together some of the best designer knockoffs we could find on the web. Honestly, some are nearly indistinguishable from the originals! How fun is that?
Click any of the items on the collage at the top of this post for more information. In the boutique below, hover over the items for pricing info and click for more information.
Blessings,
P.S. I hope you found some goodies! Don’t forget to Pin this in case you want it for future reference! (And be sure to follow me on Pinterest while you’re there!)
