How We’re Spending the 4th This Year + Best July 4th Sales

The July 4th weekend is almost here! I can’t believe we’re celebrating America’s 250th birthday this year. What a milestone! Whether you’re heading out of town, hosting a backyard BBQ, watching fireworks, or simply enjoying a slower pace for a few days, I hope it’s a weekend filled with family, friends, and lots of fun.

This is the first year in 22 years that we won’t be hosting family and friends at our home for food, fun, and swimming on the Fourth of July. (And honestly, we’re a little sad about it.) Since we downsized last year and are currently living in an apartment while we remodel our new home, we decided it was the perfect year to start a new tradition. So, we’re headed to our cute little downtown loft in Waco for the long weekend!

Lemme tell ya, Waco is a great place to spend the Fourth! Magnolia’s Summer at the Silos event runs Friday through Sunday with food trucks, sidewalk sales, a Rancher Hat Bar pop-up, and live music. Then on Saturday night, Waco’s big Fourth on the Brazos celebration takes place at Touchdown Alley at McLane Stadium, complete with a laser light show, fireworks over the Brazos River, and a performance by The Jacksons. (Yes, those Jacksons!)

Another thing Bob and I will definitely be doing this weekend? Shopping! Today, we’ve rounded up the best of the best July 4th sales for you all in one convenient spot!

It may be hard to believe, but July 4th marks a turning point for fashion. The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale (featuring all things fall!) is right around the corner.
