My Beach Vacation Outfits: Cute, Comfy & Sun-Ready

I just got back from three glorious weeks at our beach condos on Sanibel Island, Florida! 🌴☀️ It’s hard to believe, but the island is still in the process of rebuilding after taking a direct hit from Category 5 Hurricane Ian back in late September 2022. Yes—nearly two years ago!

Our condos are part of Casa Ybel Resort, one of the most beautiful properties on the island. Thankfully, since they’re on the upper floors, they weren’t breached by floodwaters. But they did suffer wind damage—and when the island went without electricity for four months, moisture took its toll.

Like many other Casa Ybel owners, we took our units down to the studs and completely rebuilt and refurnished them. Now they’re absolutely gorgeous—fresh, new, and ready for guests! (Each unit at Casa Ybel is individually owned, but they’re all decorated in the same style so the resort can manage rentals on a rotating basis—ensuring all owners get an equal share of bookings.)

Travel Day Outfit

For travel day, I wore this no-wrinkle gingham dress from Amazon (it comes in 8 colors!) and dressed it up with elevated accessories for a polished, comfy look. Just a heads-up, Amazon lists the dress as “black,” but it’s really a deep navy that matched my Chloe bag perfectly!

For our evening beach walks, I kept things light, breezy, and sun-safe! One evening, I wore a cute pink top paired with a fun skirt. On another day, I opted for a flowy dress made from SPF 50 fabric. It felt airy and effortless but gave me that extra sun protection I always appreciate.

For days spent sightseeing or popping into cute local shops, I love an outfit that’s both stylish and easy to wear. This darling navy and white knit tank with the matching skirt that I am wearing below gave me all the nautical vibes!
