2025 Spring & Summer Shoe Styles: Embellishments & Motifs

With a Chanel-esque throwback to everything classic and ladylike, this season’s shoe styles are something we’re really excited to share with you all! Here’s what you’ll see:

• Pearls – Pearl embellishments add a touch of elegance to any style! From mule flats to flip flops, pearls add the perfect dainty detail!
• Buckles – Buckles are everywhere this spring and summer, adding a polished, statement-making touch to warm-weather shoes.
• Patent – Bring on the shine! From Mary Janes to pretty blue slingbacks (and more), patent’s time has come.
• Fruit – This season, shoes are getting a playful refresh with charming fruit motifs—think fun sandals with fruit embellishments, strawberry printed kitten heel mules, and even slip-ons decked out in juicy designs.
• Ruffles – This one was a surprise, but we love it! Check out the ruffles we’re seeing this year! Especially on slides, but also on sneakers. Still chilly where you are? Try these pretty ruffled booties with your Easter look!
• Floral – Florals are always popular for spring, and this year is no different! From sneakers to sandals and slides, the sweet floral motif is everywhere.

2025 Spring & Summer Shoe Styles: Trends

Shoes tend to change subtly from year to year—but change they do! Know that you don’t have to embrace every new trend 😊! Pick the ones you like, and go for it!

1. Mesh Shoes

Light and airy, mesh shoes are having a major moment this spring and summer. These mesh Mary Jane flats? Absolutely darling with their sweet flower accents. Need a little extra glam? These black lace pumps are pure magic, as are these lace flats. For an effortlessly cool vibe, mesh sneakers pair perfectly with dresses or shorts. Also noteworthy, sometimes mesh shoes are embellished with designs like polka dots, pearls, or even fruit!

2. Textured

Textured shoes are the perfect way to elevate your outfit! Raffia is a standout texture this season, and we’re loving it in everything from platform mule slingbacks that add a little height to adorable ballet flats. And can we talk about these frayed denim slides? That little raw edge detail adds the perfect touch of casual cool.

Also this season, look for texture to appear even on the soles of shoes! Espadrilles, a classic style we see pop up in some way, shape or form every spring and summer, is having a moment. Sure, you can find classic espadrilles, but the freshest look is seeing them combined with other current trends. Case in point, check out THESE Mary Jane espadrilles. 3. City Sneakers

These aren’t for workouts! Nope. Vintage-style sneakers are in style, blending comfort with a nostalgic flair. Look for lots of color, whether it’s bold hues or pastel tones. Think classic Chanel elegance! Cap-toe shoes are making a chic comeback, and they’re definitely on trend this season! These timeless beauties, often paired with sleek lines and a touch of contrast at the toe, have such a ladylike vibe. I’m loving how they pair perfectly with the ladylike trend we’re seeing everywhere, from cardigans to sophisticated top-handle purses.

5. Slingbacks

Slingback shoes are such a versatile option for spring and summer! With their open back and adjustable strap, they offer a comfortable yet stylish fit. Whether in classic leather, playful prints, or even raffia, slingbacks work perfectly with everything from dresses to tailored pants. They’re the perfect mix of elegance and comfort, adding a stylish touch to any outfit! 6. Chunky Sandals

Call them platform sandals or “flatforms,” but definitely consider these comfy sandals in your wardrobe. They’re great with shorts or a casual dress or skirt for summer and usually for walking/sightseeing. This year, consider an update with a pair in metallic or raffia.
