Hot Trend Alert: Accessorize Your Accessories! Wait. What?
There’s a hot new trend out there, and that means, of course, SO in the KNOW ENB followers need to know about it! What is it? Everyone is accessorizing their accessories! YEP! 😀 Think lip tint holders that attach to your iPhone case, personalized tops, or a belt bag for your Stanley tumbler (or Stanley dupe), a cup holder for your Bogg Bag, or stickers for your YETI cooler!
As always, click the pink text links or any image (including the collage above) for more information.
I don’t know about you, but I adore finding little ways to add joy and style to my everyday life. Whether it’s a fun piece of jewelry or a cute new gadget, there’s nothing quite like those small touches that make your day a little brighter. This accessorizing accessories trend was ushered in by Gen Z (who are passionate about individualization), and quickly caught on with other generations too! Now it’s everywhere!
What are those accessories that everyone is accessorizing? The two primary ones we’re seeing are Stanley Cups (or other water bottles) and cell phones, so those are the main two we’re focusing on today.
Here at Empty Nest Blessed, we cover plenty of meaningful topics like parenting adult kids, a faith-based perspective on inner & outer beauty, and the latest research on sleeping well, but sometimes it’s refreshing to bring you a frothy, light post that’s just for fun! Whether you’re all about this new trend (I get that!), or you just think it’s silly (I get that too!), here at ENB we want you to be in the KNOW, so we thought this trend was worth sharing! Let’s dive into the accessorizing your accessories trend and break it down, okay?
Stanley Cups
Stanley Cups (either 30 oz. or 40 oz. tumblers) have become the go-to for staying hydrated, and it’s easy to see why. They’re durable, keep your drinks at the perfect temperature, and come in an array of happy colors. (See them all HERE.) Now, everyone has a way to accessorize it to match their personality and lifestyle!
Monogrammed Travel Tumbler (Monogramming free but optional)

Don’t want to pay for the name-brand Stanley Cup? One alternative I’ve enjoyed is THIS one from Simple Modern. It’s leak-resistant, with no gap around the straw opening. I’ve found this helpful in the middle of the night when I’m thirsty and I inevitably knock it over on my bedside table because I’m fumbling around and trying not to open my eyes!😂😅
The other one I really like is this fun monogrammed tumbler I ordered last year from Marley Lilly! It comes in lots of cute prints (see them all HERE) and monogramming is free but completely optional.
1. Personalized Decals and Stickers
First, let’s talk about decals and stickers. These are fantastic ways to make your Stanley Cup uniquely yours. Whether you’re into florals, monograms, logos, inspirational quotes, or you just want your name, there’s a decal out there for you. You can even get custom stickers with a photo or a favorite phrase. Check out some of our favorites or design your own at a site like Zazzle or Etsy. They’re not just cute; they help you easily identify your cup in a crowd!
2. Silicone or Neoprene Sleeves
Next on the list are silicone sleeves or neoprene sleeves. These nifty accessories add a pop of color and make your tumbler easier to grip. And, ummmm, these sleeves are perfect if you tend to be a bit clumsy and want to prevent any unfortunate drops. (ME! 🙋♀️) Plus, they come in so many colors and patterns, you can switch them out to match your outfit or mood. Some even come with a handy carrying strap! How fun is that?
3. Lid Labels
I should have seen this whole accessorize your accessories situation last holiday season when THIS personalized lid label was an ENB Holiday Gift Guide best-seller! Now, options abound, from 3D labels, and THIS darling flower nameplate to monograms.
4. Straws
Hydration, but make it fashionable! You can find straws in a variety of colors and designs. I just ordered THESE darling silicone straw covers! I’m always worrying about germs getting onto the part of the straw where my mouth goes! (THIS set of straw covers would be a thoughtful gift for a nurse and THESE would make inexpensive and festive holiday gifts for your Bible Study gals!) Drinking your daily water intake has never been this stylish!
5. Carry On!
Pink 40 oz. Stanley Cup (Similar color.) | Hot Pink Cup “Belt Bag” | Amazon White Eyelet Dress (My FAVE! Universally flattering, bra-friendly, fits TTS, perfect for layering under a denim jacket for fall, and comes in 20 colors.)| Pearl Apple Watch Band | LouLou Necklace (Mine is custom but similar HERE for 20% off right now or HERE.) | Other Gold Necklace (Sold out.) | Earrings (Sold out.)
For those always on the go, a carrying handle or a crossbody bag for your water bottle can be a game-changer when it comes to staying organized. These little holders snap right onto your Stanley Cup handle, making it easier to tote around your car keys and lip balm! There are even belt bags 🤣 for your water bottle (I own one!) with zipper pockets for your keys, cards, or lip gloss! My favorite thing we found might just be THIS under $10 crossbody water bottle carrier with pockets for your phone and your keys. I bought it to take to the Bahamas next week!
6. Charms
These tiny, adorable accessories aren’t just pretty to look at; but they also make your cup easily identifiable, which is a fabulous perk if you’re always misplacing things! (Again, 🙋♀️🤣). Whether you choose your initial, name, or an encouraging phrase, these charms will make your cup uniquely yours. I love THESE hooks that attach to the side of your water bottle, allowing you to attach your keys, a charm, or even lip balm!
7. Other Cool Add-Ons
A few other interesting tumbler accessories we found when we were putting this post together are worth noting! I thought this segmented snack tray that fits on top of a Stanley cup was so clever, and Beth loved this cool silicone ice cube tray that makes an ice ring sized perfectly for your tumbler.
Other Ways to Accessorize Your Accessories
If we’re honest, and our water bottles are now considered an “accessory,” we know that our phones need to be considered accessories, too!📱Now there are ways to accessorize your phone too! While stick-on card cases have been around for a while, now we’re seeing lanyards, key rings, and more!
This summer, Hailey Beiber, founder of the cosmetic brand Rhode Skin, released an easy-to-grip cell phone case that went viral! It has a built-in spot for a Rhode lip tint! Of course, knockoffs emerged on Etsy and Amazon almost immediately!
Want more? You can accessorize your Apple Watch band too! Check out the charms below!
Accessorizing your accessories is all about adding that personal touch. With so many options out there, you can mix and match to your heart’s content! So, whether you just like to be “in the know,” you’re looking for a unique gift for someone special, or you’re looking to infuse a little fun into your everyday life, we thought this light and breezy post would be a refreshing change of pace!
You always find us the cutest things.
I’ve learned so much from reading your posts!!!!
