Holiday Decor Ideas to Make Your Home Merry & Bright

Empty Nest Blessed by Suzy Mighell

It’s time to deck the halls and get into the holiday spirit! 🎅🎄 As the days grow shorter and the air turns colder, there’s nothing quite like the joy of preparing our homes for the most magical time of the year. In today’s short post, we’re sharing holiday decor ideas to transform your space into a warm, welcoming winter wonderland.

I always try to add a few new decorations every year! (Along with tossing a few things that look “tired.”) Do you do that too? Whether it’s a new ornament for the tree, a festive wreath for the front door, or a cozy holiday throw blanket, I’m always looking for something that sparks joy in my heart.

I know this time of year can be stressful, and I’ve shared before that getting ahead and spreading things out over November and December makes me less stressed and more joyful. Our goal is to serve and inspire you by curating some of our favorite holiday decor, with the hope that it makes your life easier and saves you time!

  1. I do love the shorter posts for the holidays, but I am finding it hard to grab a minute or two to read all the blogs I want to. These shorter posts help me!

    1. Terri,

I know just how you feel! I’m so glad you liked the shorter posts! You’ll be seeing more of them!

Happy Thanksgiving to your family and thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts with me!

  2. Thank you for this nice evening surprise post. Certainly helps one get some new Christmas decorating ideas. Perhaps you can help me with a new concern I have this year. We have a nine month old darling great granddaughter. Of course, we buy her many cute outfits. Love shopping for her nearly every week. We have one son and two grandsons, so you can see why I’m loving shopping for this precious one. But what to buy for Christmas. Will have a Christmas stocking of course but what to put into the stocking. Any ideas will be welcomed. Enjoy your vacation. Safe travels home.

    1. Helen,

I’d definitely ask her mom for a wish list for the baby (and all the grandkids!). It ensures you buy something that will help their family and be a blessing! For stocking stuffers, I’d head to the baby department at Target or Walmart and grab some cute teethers, pacifiers, or small rattles and noise makers. Also, I really like these chain links (https://amzn.to/3QLYqBf) that you can attach other toys to and hook them onto strollers, car seats, high chairs, etc.

I hope that helps! You sound like a thoughtful grandma, Helen! Hugs to you this holiday season!

      xoxo
