Was there ever a year when we needed Valentine’s Day more? The idea of a holiday that celebrates love is one to cherish, and now more than ever! For some of you, Valentine’s Day is a big deal🎁💘, and for others, it may be more of a cheek kiss and a high-five kind of holiday🙋♀️. Either way, I think you’ll agree that it needs at least a little bit of attention this year of all years!
What We Do For Valentine’s Day
If you’re anything like Bob and me, we put a lot of time, effort, and love into our relationship every day, so Valentine’s gifts between us aren’t a huge deal. We try to keep our relationship flirty and fun every day! 🥰 To read some of the posts I’ve written on tips for healthy and strong marriages, click HERE. And for lots of empty nester date night ideas — that are not necessarily Valentine’s Day specific — check out THIS post.
I do try to get a little something Valentinesy every year. Sometimes it’s something for our home. Sometimes it’s something for Bob. Sometimes it’s something for me! This year, I picked up THIS doormat and THIS tee, bought myself THIS coffee mug, and bought Bob THESE pajama pants.
Valentine’s Gift Ideas for Grandkids
We didn’t really focus on including Valentine’s Day gift ideas for grandkids in our gift suggestions this year. I know ENB readers range in age, and their grandkids range in age, too, making that tricky! My suggestion would be to check THESE gift ideas at Target and THESE gift ideas at Pottery Barn Kids. Both have unique and creative ideas.

Show your adult son how much you love him this Valentine’s Day with comfy heart joggers he can wear to lounge in while he drinks coffee from this hilarious mug or watches a movie from this movie bucket list scratch-off poster and keeps his toes warm with these socks!
Another great gift idea is a book that tells him just how much you love him!
Personalized cookie cutters are a fun and unique idea! Customize them to look like your son, yourself, or his beloved pet! Then use the cookie-cutter to bake some cookies send them his way! (Don’t forget to include the cookie-cutter too!) This is guaranteed to make his day!
Valentine’s Day Gift Ideas Under $30 For Her
Does anyone else think girls are just a little bit easier to shop for than guys — especially when the holiday’s theme color is pink?🤣 These gift ideas are great for adult daughters, moms, sisters, or besties!
If she’s trying to stay healthy, but she has a sweet tooth, Smart Sweets are really big right now! This bundle of different flavors is my favorite, but you can find individual flavors at Target too! If she’s working on staying hydrated, this heart-covered tumbler would be perfect!
If she loves coffee, this I Love You mug and this heart-shaped mug will help her start each morning with love in her heart. As I told you above, I bought THIS happy little heart mug for myself this year! I’ll use it all year round!
If her love language is words of affirmation (like me!), What I Love About Being Your Mom would be a wonderful, personal book you can that she will probably keep forever. Another cute idea is love-themed, pink stationery like these I Love You notes or this XOXO pad. Tie a bow around it and write a sweet note on the top sheet for a special touch! I also love THIS Prayers to Share book!
Valentine’s Day Decor Under $30
I love the idea of a holiday that is all about love!
Adding a Valentine’s doormat is a great way to decorate the outside of your house. I always do that! Whether you’re looking for a dark one, a bright one, or a neutral one, you’ll find something for everyone. White vases and greenery, like this plant or this heart wreath, are classy decor ideas as well.
I love to have my table decorated in the weeks leading up to Valentine’s Day, even if I don’t plan on hosting a big dinner. It just brings joy to my heart, and that’s enough reason right there!
Gift Wrap & Paper Goods
These paper goods are another great way to show your love and creativity to your loved ones, especially if they have an eye for aesthetics! I think the presentation can be almost as important as the gift itself!

Valentine’s Day Gifts for Him
Even if he doesn’t show it, guys always appreciate a fun, little gift for Valentine’s Day.
If he’s a sporty man, he will love this good luck kiss golf ball! And this silicone ring is great for a guy to wear when working out. I also love this cute fishing lure that says, “I love you more than you love fishing” 😂
Your man will be so comfy and cute when he is wearing his new Valentine’s Day gear. I love these heart joggers, these heart socks, and these heart-themed pajama pants! If he loves a little something sweet, check out this chocolate-filled tackle box, or this bouquet of chocolate roses!
If he is a reader, I cannot recommend this book enough! The Five Love Languages has changed so many relationships and given couples a chance to reconnect and love better even after years of being together. Reading it was transformative for our marriage! Other sweet word-based gifts are the What I Love About Us and What I Love About You books.
Finally, one of my faves — a JUMBO Valentine’s Day card! He will never forget this one!!

I also love these desktop calendars from DaySpring. These daily devotional calendars are themed, so you can gift her one that best fits her personality or needs. My favorites for Valentine’s Day include: Falling In Love With Your Bible, Thank You For Being A Friend, and What’s True About You. A sweet scripture-filled note would also be special for a dear friend.
