I don’t know about you, but I put my fall decor out right after Labor Day, and leave it out until I decorate for Christmas after Thanksgiving! This year, I didn’t really need a thing, except a new doormat for our side door! (It’s the door everyone actually uses!) With all of those feet pounding on it over the past couple of years, it definitely needed to retire!
When I started looking for a new fall doormat, I found so many cute ones! You’re in for a treat because they’re all good quality, highly rated, and under $50. This year I chose a pumpkin doormat from Amazon for a great price, and I think it’s darling.
Fall doormats are an easy way to make your home a warm and inviting place. Adding a fall doormat to your entryway or doorstep welcomes others in, since it’s the very first thing they see when they ring your doorbell! Fall is for cozying in with family and friends, and if your house is like mine during fall, you always have loved ones coming and going.
BTW, when I was looking for my doormat, I learned a new fall decorating trend! People are combining their doormats with a layered rug underneath for a warm, cozy look! Read on to learn more.

How to Layer your Fall Doormats
These styles are cute on their own, but adding a small rug under them can really make your porch cozy and your doormat pop! A rug creates a border around your doormat to frame it in an aesthetically pleasing way. Most of the styles we’re sharing today are neutral coir, so a contrasting fall color or fun pattern like gingham, would work beautifully. If you want a more colorful doormat, stick to a simple neutral color for the base layer. Rugs that are 3 x 5 work best for an average-sized doormat!
