Florals for spring? Who can resist? Floral tops are everywhere right now, at every price point, and I think they are the perfect, inexpensive way to work a little girly warm-weather fun into your existing wardrobe. If you can find them in conjunction with another hot trend of the moment (like the statement sleeves on my gauzy top above), then more power to ya, my friend!
This top is from White House Black Market, and besides the fact that it is so flowy and feminine, I love that it is secretly a twofer. (And if you read my post on Double-Duty Beauty Products, then you know I am all about those!) The cami underneath the gauzy loveliness of the over shirt is in the same print and could easily be worn with another piece in your wardrobe. Think about pairing it with a white poplin or denim shirt (either partially buttoned up or open) for a cool summer look. Oh, my word, I am such a sucker for anything that does double-duty! Likewise, the sheer top shirt could be paired with a simple white or colored cami underneath for a cute look with your favorite white jeans.
I’ve scoured some of the best retailers out there for tops that beautifully represent the “florals for spring” trend, and I’ve rounded up some gorgeous ones at all different price points. Most of the tops I linked to can be worn with a cardi or blazer over them on cool spring mornings, then you can shed that layer in the afternoon (or let’s face it, whenever a hot flash hits). 🙂
What spring trends are you crazy about right now? Please leave me a comment and let me know! Don’t forget about the GIANT Shopbop sale going on through Saturday. What are you doing this weekend? We’re in Florida for a swanky event honoring my parents tonight, then flying back to Dallas on Saturday. I’ll be glad to be home! Our week in Miami was not the best as I ended up in the ER with a perforated ear drum this week and felt pretty crummy. It was a bummer but the hubs was a rock and I had lots of people sweetly praying for me. I’m thankful to be on the mend! Our precious college girl will be home Saturday night and we’re looking forward to seeing her for a quick visit. I’m excited about next week, as I have another post in my “SO in the KNOW” series where I do my best to keep you all updated on the latest and greatest. This time, we’re talking Spring Shoe Trends. I hope you love it!
I’m grateful for each of you as we travel the empty nest road together. xoxo
